Here’s what you can order with your Vivint security system
Unlike rival smart home companies, Vivint’s smart home services are available to renters. Find out about some of the more in demand sensors and services:
Intrusion prevention
Motion alarms and window sensors can notify you when an uninvited guest breaks into your rental unit. Receive a text to your smartphone as an device trips, or activate your alarms and cameras remotely to let in guests or maintenance when you’re at work.
Environmental safety detectors
Smoke detectors will come as part of your rental, but you may not get other environmental sensors. Place a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or water alarm to alert you and the monitoring experts to catastrophes before it’s too late.
HD security cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly hung so you can keep watch on certain rooms. A doorbell camera allows you view -- and converse with -- whoever is at the front door. Watch live HD feeds and texts about lurkers through the mobile security app.
24/7 monitoring
A big benefit of choosing Vivint is the monitoring experts that respond to tripped alarms. If a device goes off, your monitoring agents immediately calls you to make sure you’re safe. Then they’ll quickly contact the proper emergency personnel.
Smart home components
Automation items, such as smart lights, can be added to make your rental home or apartment more efficient. Some items like a replacement thermostat or smart door locks may need prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your Ogden security system can be adjusted from home or away through the Vivint App. Watch real-time security feeds, remotely arm and disarm alarms and cameras, or set up times for alarms and lights. Then allow alerts to your phone if a sensor goes off or a security camera sees suspicious motion.
